Japan, India and the United States have ramped up their military activities in the wake of an increasingly assertive China on multiple fronts.

Following a military clash on the India-China border, there has been growing concern among regional as well as international military powers of China’s increasingly assertive presence.

Relations between China and India have hit rock bottom in recent days as a military clash in the eastern Ladakh region has led both nations to increase their troop presence on either side of their borders.

And on Saturday, the Indian and Japanese navies held an exercise in the Strait of Malacca involving India’s Rajput-class destroyer the INS Rana and INS Kulish, a Kora-class corvette in a show of force.

Over in the Pacific Ocean, the U.S. has also deployed three aircraft carriers including the USS Nimitz, USS Theodore Roosevelt and the USS Ronald Reagan in one of the largest naval deployments in recent years.

China’s military flexing has been met with increasing concern, and following recent activities, relations between China and countries including India, the United States and Japan have become strained.
